Disappointed to report that the pitch is still white in parts and frozen solid all over. With very little chance of it clearing in time for training and safety being my main priority, I have reluctantly taken the decision to cancel training. Please spread the word.
Given the heavy snow and cold temperatures that are forecast for tomorrow, we have decided to cancel training tomorrow, Wednesday 28th February. Spread the word please!
Maja Robertson from our U12s is raising money for Children in Need by dribbling a hockey ball from Haddington to Longniddry along the railway walk. To add to Maja’s total, we have decided that training next Wednesday, 15th November, will be fancy dress/onesie/pjs/silly hat/pudsey ears etc night for £1 donation. It is not compulsory to take part but it would be good to show support to Maja and the Children in Need appeal #doyourthing #goodtogive #community
Apologies for the short notice but the rain has now thoroughly set in and so hockey is cancelled for tonight.
Now that we are a few weeks into the new season, it is clear that the 5pm-6pm session is very busy. Whilst we want as many children as possible playing hockey, we also want them to enjoy it and be safe. In order to continue to provide a safe, quality and fun environment, we have decided to move U14 (S1 & S2) training back an hour to 6pm-7pm, as of Wednesday 20th September.
We appreciate this change might not suit everyone but we feel this option is preferable to having lots of children on a waiting list. If this change means your child will no longer be able to play hockey then please get in touch.
#hockeyfest is coming to Haddington on Saturday 2nd September!
